TIPS FOR PLANNING AN OPEN PLAN OFFICE

The advantages when working in an open plan office is the ability to fit more workspaces into a given space.  When planning an open plan office it is important to consider the type of tasks your staff are required to do. Does your staff require their work area to be free of distractions?  Are they required to work in teams? 

Office workstations can be designed in a way to facilitate a greater interaction between staff or if privacy is required the dividing office partitions can be higher to allow more privacy for individual workstations. With both options you will need to consider the following.  The higher the office partitions dividing your office workstations the less natural light you have from windows to workstations on outer areas of the office, although a higher office partition will give more privacy to the individual’s workstations.  Higher Office Partitions also gives us more options for accommodating shelving above the workstation desk.  Lower dividing partitions between the workstations allows more natural light to into the room.  Low dividing partitions also allows staff more interaction with each other creating a great team building atmosphere.

Executive chairs: Also known as manager chairs are generally used in executive office environments.  The executive office chair will come with matching client chairs for co-ordination of the executive office.
