TIPS FOR PLANNING AN OPEN PLAN OFFICE
The advantages when working in an open plan office is the ability to fit more workspaces into a given space. When planning an open plan office it is important to consider the type of tasks your staff are required to do. Does your staff require their work area to be free of distractions? Are they required to work in teams?
Office workstations can be designed in a way to facilitate a greater interaction between staff or if privacy is required the dividing office partitions can be higher to allow more privacy for individual workstations. With both options you will need to consider the following. The higher the office partitions dividing your office workstations the less natural light you have from windows to workstations on outer areas of the office, although a higher office partition will give more privacy to the individual’s workstations. Higher Office Partitions also gives us more options for accommodating shelving above the workstation desk. Lower dividing partitions between the workstations allows more natural light to into the room. Low dividing partitions also allows staff more interaction with each other creating a great team building atmosphere.

Storage Cabinets - Office Maxtor
- Welded pre-fabricated steel base modules mean that there is no need for floor preparation, and adjustable feet compensate for uneven floors. Welded steel channels form a self-contained track supporting the cabinets and mobiles. Lateral guide channels, which accommodate mobile lateral guide wheels, act as ant-tilt mechanisms for the storage cabinets.
- Welded steel box sections are supported by sealed bearing load wheels for the ease of movement and horizontal lateral guide wheels prevent cabinets from tipping. Tandem linking kits can be fitted to the base and mobiles, allowing Maxtor units to be installed as/or extended to two bay wide units
- Fluch fitting metal cabinets with internal bolted assembly ensure a quality exterior furniture finish, with durable powder coat paint finishes utilised as standard. A range of heights/widths/depths maximise office storage space and welded internal shelf supports with 25mm vertical adjustment ensure storage flexibility and space utilisation. Cabinets can be fitted with an extensive range of filing and storage accessories for a multi-media storage facility
- All Office Maxtor units are fitted with a standard single-point external, key-activated locking mechanism fixing into the platform base, with an optional overhead locking system available for greater security.
